More than 90% of our funding comes from the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services and the Department of Rehabilitation.  Legislators play a key role in authorizing increases or decreases in our funding.  For these reasons, it is critical for us to educate Legislators about the importance of our services and the impact they have on the quality of life of the folks we support.

Use the tool described below from the California Disability Services Association website to locate your local legislators.

Although folks with disabilities don’t have a lot of money, we do have political clout when we work together at the grassroots level.
